Die berühmte Eigernordwand ist im Hintergrund, vorne schlängelt sich die Schynige-Platte-Bahn durch Alpwiesen ins Tal hinunter. Die Besucher haben sich sicher im botanischen Alpengarten umgesehen und Blumen, Gräser und vielleicht Murmeltiere bewundert. Auch die Aussicht auf die Seen und die Berge ist spektakulär und geübte Wanderer rechnen für den Klassiker Schynige Platte – Grindelwald First gut sechs Stunden.
Hier hat die Renovation nicht durchgegriffen, doch ist das Zimmer geräumig und direkt unter den Dachbalken. Die Dusche ist klein und wir freuen uns, wenn in naher Zukunft die Modernisierung realisiert wird.

La célèbre face nord de l’Eiger est à l’arrière-plan, tandis que devant, le chemin de fer de la Schynige Platte descend dans la vallée à travers les prairies alpines. Les visiteurs ont sans doute parcouru le jardin botanique alpin, admirant les fleurs, les herbes aromatiques et peut-être même quelques marmottes. Les vues sur les lacs et les montagnes sont également spectaculaires. Les randonneurs expérimentés comptent six bonnes heures de marche pour la randonnée Schynige Platte – Grindelwald First.
Ici, la rénovation n’a pas encore eu lieu, mais la chambre est spacieuse et se trouve juste sous les combes. La douche est petite – elle sera modernisée dans un avenir proche.

Against a backdrop of the famous Eiger North Face, the Schynige Platte Railway winds its way through Alpine meadows down to the valley. Its passengers have strolled through the Alpine Botanical Garden, admiring flowers, grasses and perhaps even marmots. The views of the lakes and mountains are spectacular, and experienced hikers allow a good six hours for the classic trail from Schynige Platte to Grindelwald First.
Refurbishment has yet to take place here, but the room is spacious and located right under the roof. The shower is small, and we are looking forward to modernising it in the near future.
