Der höchste Punkt auf Jungfrau-Joch ist das Sphinx-Gebäude mit dem Observatorium. Wissenschafter aus aller Herren Länder wechseln sich hier ab und forschen auf verschiedensten Gebieten. Die Rundumsicht von dieser Plattform aus geht über Bergspitzen, Grate, Gletscher runter in die Ebene und weiter noch bis zu den Höhenzügen des Jura. Eine andere Welt – fern von Alltag und Strassenlärm.
Ein Familienzimmer wird oft nachgefragt und hier können bis zu fünf Personen übernachten. Die grosse Fensterfront mit dem Balkon davor macht den Raum hell und die Aussicht über die Dächer bis zu den umliegenden Bergen ist farbenfroh und vielfältig. Die Kinder lockt zwar das Hallenbad mehr als jede Fernsicht.

La vue panoramique depuis cette plate-forme s’étend sur les sommets, les crêtes et les glaciers jusqu’à la plaine et à la chaine du Jura. Un monde différent – loin de la vie quotidienne et du bruit de la rue.
Cette chambre familiale est très populaire et jusqu’à cinq personnes peuvent y séjourner. La grande fenêtre à l’avant et le balcon en face rendent la pièce lumineuse et la vue sur les toits vers les montagnes environnantes est colorée et variée. Naturellement, les enfants sont plus attirés par la piscine intérieure que par une vue.

The Sphinx building with its observatory is the highest point on the Jungfraujoch. Scientists from all over the globe come here in rotation to conduct research in a wide variety of fields. The wraparound views from the platform extend beyond mountain peaks, ridges and glaciers down to the central plateau and on to the Jura mountains. This is a world of its own – far away from everyday life and traffic noise.
Family rooms are popular, and this one can accommodate up to five people. The expansive glazing and balcony make this space light and airy, with colourful and varied views across rooftops to the surrounding mountains. That said, the kids will probably find the indoor pool more appealing than any distant views.
