THE HISTORY OF THE STELLA HOTEL

The oldest part of the hotel was built over 150 years ago as a guesthouse named Pension Beau-Séjour. Since then, the hotel has undergone numerous refurbishments and extensions. In 1970, an extension with an indoor swimming pool was added and the name changed to Stella Hotel. The hotel and its infrastructure are regularly updated and maintained to ensure contemporary levels of comfort and safety.

The Stella has been run by the Hofmann-Frei family for three generations. The proprietors and their motivated team put their heart and soul into creating a unique and welcoming ambiance.

Our hotel is situated in a residential neighbourhood, just a three to five minute-walk from Interlaken West railway station, the town centre and the Höheweg main thoroughfare. The quiet and central location, the garden with its mighty walnut tree and the hotel-own indoor swimming pool make the Stella the perfect place to stay.
